    MY APOLOGIES.. and

AND NOT FOR MY POLITICAL VIEWS EITHER

In a reply a week or 2 ago, I stated that I would post a few images. well, THEY ALL WERE JUNK after I opened them in PS!!! I refuse to post garbage ;)

    AND

I must tell EVERYONE THAT COLORADOAMIGO(BRIAN) is one of the nicest, down to earth, non judgemental, accepting, normal (well... compared to my off the wall humor), happy, talented, ........YOU GET THE POINT!!!!!.... GUYS !!!!!

If anyone has a chance to meet up with him, YOU ARE DOING YOURSELF AN INJUSTICE to pass up on such an encounter.

though he owns a nikon, I still found his imagery to be good... check out his PBASE site(though we never got out to shoot due to weather ).

we ended up BSing for a while , then I gave him a quick perimeter tour of doris dukes estate. after that we ate and BSed some more until I needed to GO TO WORK...sniff sniff

I will try to actually find and shoot a POSTABLE image ASAP ;)

young bald eagle.. full frame, 1D/100-400IS@400, +.7EV, EVALUTIVE METERING. f6.3( switched it by accident from F8...DARN)

took the file into PS..resized and "sharpen".... I see no need to try and make this better, because IT never will be good TO ME.

btw.... JANIE has a new neighbor and here he is

    Wow, Paul, that's crap!

Even your bad bird images are nicer than some peoples good ones For those of us who will never sit for hours and wait to see something like this, it's nice to at least see it on my screen.

    Wow...Thanks Paul....

I don't even know how to respond to that, you are way too gracious. All the same things can be said about Paul. I had a blast meeting up with him, and hope to hook up again soon, either in Jersey or Colorado.
Like Paul said, the weather sucked for photography, but that was secondary to me anyway. I just had a great time talking with Paul. He doesn't beat around the bush on any subject, very straightfoward, and he's absolutely hilarious. I just wish we had more time, but this was a business trip for me and Paul of course had to work as well. We made do with the short time we had and shared alot of stories.
All in all, the trip was great for me, on the business side as well. But, using one of Paul's words, most of my shots look to be garbage, though I haven't even pulled them off the cards yet. I'm not expecting much.

Thanks again Paul for the kind words, showing me around the area, and for a great time away from all the business-crap I was there for.
    Regards,
    Brian

    YES!! it's crap ;)

I hold myself to a VERY high standard, as WE ALL SHOULD!!!!

I can find 10 flaws in every image I have taken I bet, though I never really try to count them.

apon opening a file/ viewing a slide..... I either love it or hate it in the first second usually. this one was the closet I have been to a bald eagle ......WITH MY CAMERA, so I sent SEB a tiny quick edit.

If I had dragged my heavy tripod 1/2 a mile through a sand dune..... this file WOULD be 3 times as sharp.

this eagle (post breeding wanderer.... though not a breeder) had invaded an osprey pairs territory. So he was under attack and moving erraticly.

here is another one that is IN MY OPINION OOF slightly, though Sebastian seems to think 1/1500 with IS on gave me motion blur (shhh not possible in my hands). it was rolling over as I clicked the shutter and the wing tip looks blurred, ..HMM.... MAYBE we are both right?????

the action ROCKS, the FOCUS ... SNIFF SNIFF

    Paul,
I like both of these , especially the second one of the Eagle trying to dodge the Osprey. Yes, both of these shots suffer from lack of sharpness and a few other technicals but the action that was caught makes them interesting.
please do not edit and repost my photos

well, YES I agree that the action in the second is GREAT, but angle on both and wing posiion on the first are beat.

    thanks!
