    Cemetery series

I went to Europe over winter break to visit my brother who was studying in Sweden and to travel around. We stopped in Vienna for a day and went to the St Marx cemetery where Mozart is supposed to be buried somewhere. Many composers, artists, philosohpers, and others are buried here. It was eerie and somewhat overgrown/decaying but an interesting place. Thought some shots turned out all right and would share part of the series. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks to those who critiqued some of these earlier, went and played with them some more.

    # 4 in the first posting catches my eye. I have been looking for a good cemetery to shoot in the Seattle area. Nice work.

Good stuff. the ones you posted in the Critique forum i liked very much and seeing the rest here is a treat. My fav of this bunch is the trees and path leading to the in focus cross in the distance. Great use of the fogging effect (breathe on your lens, as i recall you saying) to give these mood and atmosphere.

Thanks guys, might try to print a couple. Seems like a lot of the cemteries here might be tough to shoot since they are for the most part well mantained/young. I was flipping through a magazine and saw a tip about breathing on your lens the night before which worked out nicely.
