    Inside photos

Attached are to photos I took with my new fast prime lens, 50mm F1.4D AF Nikkor. I was never able to get this good of photos before even at ISO 1600 and wide open at F3.5-4.5 with the kit lens or the long telephoto lens I have. ISO used was 800, wide open, yes the DOF did byte me a couple times but I stopped the movement most of the time. I also determined that at F2.8 was the smallest I could use and get good results.

Nothing but a crop and resize, the only post processing. All the photos taken with the other lenses have noise up the wazoo! and the horse's legs are blurred.

Nice job on these. Boy there is just no substitute for a good fast lens.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Exactly. VR lenses wouldn't help in this situation - I know you didn't bring that up but there seems to be confusion about it from time to time. Even if you don't shoot at the maximum aperture, you (and the camera's AF system) can see what you're doing a lot easier.
