300 mm lens cleaning

Somehow, I seem to have a spot on the inside of my Tokina AF100-300 mm lens. Anyone know if there is a way to take it apart to clean it? I can't find anyway to take it apart - maybe moisture or something got in there - not sure. It hasn't been anywhere moist but it could have happened when I was flooded. Argh.

You're not meant to find a way to take it apart
In the case of cameras and lenses I'd say there is a very good reason it's not easy to get into them

I've been there, tried that (on a 28mm) and never in 5 years managed to put it together again !

Does the spot affect your photos? If not, don't worry about it. Most lenses eventually get some crap inside them. But it has to be a mighty big chunk to actually affect your images. You should see how filthy some of my equipment is. It would horrify you.

You know, I haven't used that lens in so long, it probably doesn't matter. It's so heavy I can't use it without a tripod! I'm just a stickler for keeping my equipment spotless.
