Depends on the exact day you're talking about. I'd like to do it, if I can. I think I missed the last few.

Alright, I did a little research to find the original info, and here it is. I copied this from the original thread back in 2006 (edited slightly for date/misc info):

"If you're not familiar with the 24 series, it is basically a photo assignment on the mass level. People shoot within a single 24 hour period whatever they happen to see and experience - work, family, sunsets, events, travel, etc. The collected works become a "slice of life." We could do our own experiment, with the resultant work being a slice of the lives of photographyreview.com members.

All that is required of you if you wish to participate is to photograph your slice of life between 12:00am and 11:59pm on the day chosen. We'll have a thread to collect the photos in. The collection will then be "24 hours of photographyreview.com."

Of course, this type of assignment lends itself to digital photography, but there will plenty of time for film shooters to post pictures as well."

The previous thread I could showing the images is here

Yup, that's basically it - and a question that came up once was whether it should be local time or GMT. That's a little OCD so it was probably something I brought up :) , but both have reasons. We've always done local time; essentially midnight to midnight.

They've been on both weekends and weekdays because everyone's schedule is different. Been awhile since we've done somthing like this...

April Fools Day was the day I was thinking. I'll plan on starting a new thread the day before (Since I'm in PST) and that'll give a chance for our European friends to get dibs on posting their images first.

So April Fools Day, starting at your own local time

So let me get this right. I got the bit about shooting a 24 hour period. Is there any specific requirement within that? Like does that mean making an image for every hour? Or just shoot randomly during your day? Or... ???

You can shoot/post one image for the entire day, once an hour, set your camera to 8FPS, connect it to a computer and set it to fire for 24 hours & make a movie (hmm, not a bad idea :) ) or just shoot randomly during the day.

    BTW Old Timer,
I looked through that 2006 thread and discovered that your post office (inside) is EXACTLY the same as the one in Lake Worth FL except for the mural on the wall (Lake Worth's being in the same style, but a guy hunting Alligators). It was uncanny!

I'll bet they were both WPA projects and were built from the same plans.

For those that have never participated in one of these here is a link to one from back in 2006.

    Cool.

April Fools Day? ... If I spent the day at Parliament House on that day .... I'd need at least two 16 gig cards to capture all of the poncing fools.

I could go there tomorrow and do the same but I've only got an 8 gig card ... the card would be full by smoko.

    Warren.

PS, I'm going to contact the Usher of the Black Rod and ask him if I can spend the day in the House of the People. Plan your day well.

PPS, A day spent in the Nationl Gallery of Australia, photographing art sponging tourists might be nice. I'd kind of like doing that ... photographing people who know absolutely didly-squat about art.
