    Small group outdoor

I have an assignment to shoot a 4 person family portrait, outdoors in a rural setting, no AC electricity available. Using D100, have good variety of lenses form 20 to 200 mm.SB800 plus a couple of other small strobes, a slave, two medium umbrellas w/stands. Any suggestions on the best way to light this? New to forum, thanks for advice!

in the shade ,no doubt, with a pretty background ,with fill flash.the best thing if you need light,i dont think you will outdoors, but use a generator and set up strobes, this really lights up a floral or shrubry setting.but just a fill in 3 or 4 differant locations,.i like to position subject at edge of shadow, facing away from sun into shade, and then flash to meet the amount of light in background, shoot several light uotput settings and bracket, and then just post some of your shots for us to see.looking forward to seeing your work.good luck.whats nice is that you can see your work as you shoot.i usually carry along a camera with a 200 mm lense in 35mm formatt with me also.film is still as good as it gets to me..
