Running studio lights from a power generator?

I have a set of Elinchrom D lite 2 studio flashes and would like to take them out on location, does anyone know if it would be possible to run them from a small petrol power generator?

Don't really want to destroy anything finding out the hard way

    Thanks! Damien

Hi. Welcome to the site. I'd hate to give you any advice that might put your gear at peril. Personally, I use battery packs to power my flashes on location, but I'm sure many shooters also use generators.

I'd think this would be fairly easy to find out. Try the manufacturer's support site, or maybe a more specific news group...
