Hey Steve,
Have you got any suggestions for a decent B/W lab in Miami? I was using Javier at B&W photo processing, but he has packed up his shop and gone do to lack of business. I hate when that happens to good people.

Sorry, Michael, I haven't used any South Florida labs in a while. When I was down there, I did my own bw work, and occasionally used a place on Lincoln Road called (oddly enough) Darkroom...

Guess you need to do some detective work and make some calls. I'm sure there is still a decent bw lab down there someplace. Are you near Pitman? They may be able to point you in the right direction...

Just got back from a week with the family on North Captiva. Thanks for the help anyway. I'm in the process of trying to sucker a room out of the school where I teach for the B/W darkroom. We had an old Minolta/Bessler 4x5 donated with lenses to cover 35 and various 120 formats. I want to teach basic B/W to my intermediate Broadcast students as a way to help think outside the box and see light for what it is. Should be cool if we can get the lab up and running this year.
