    LED lighting kits

I received a brochure in the mail about these new LED light kits instead of the traditional softboxes. I wonder if any one know anything about them and or used them. I like the looks of them . Let me know

Very cool stuff. This could well be the future of photographic lighting. Keep in mind these were originally developed primarily for video use, but they can certainly be used for still work as well.

And, as the price for these types of lights continues to come down, they'll be more and more of a viable alternative to strobes and hot lights.

The one drawback, and there's really not much that will change this anytime soon, is power.

A high-powered electronic flash simply throws out much more light, and will still be the light of choice for many situations.

But if you're shooting anything where you can get away with a slower shutter speed, or higher ISO, these make up a pretty great system...
