How to attach a softbox to a shoe mount flash

I just won a softbox off of Ebay, and I need an adaptor to mount it on a light stand while using a Nikon SB-800 flash. I know there is one, but I've been searching online and I haven't been able to find it. Here is the link for the softbox I won.

I do plan on getting some studio strobes, hopefully near Christmas, and I figure I can use this with the adaptor now.

    Thanks!

Re: How to attach a softbox to a shoe mount flash

They have FAQ's linked to that page. Here you go:

    Q. How does a softbox attach to a light stand? Can I use the DynaPhos soft box with any of my studio lights?

    A. The most common method is to attach the soft box to the light head using the connector (provided with DynaPhos light kits), the light head then mounts to your stand. However, DynaPhos connectors also have a screw hole on the bottom that allows the connector to be attached directly to the light stand. DynaPhos soft boxes are universal and can be used with most lighting systems (both tungsten and strobe) provided the correct connector is used.

I'm not sure if this will take care of a way to mount the SB800, but someone like Bogen probably makes an accessory to handle that.

Cool! I didn't even think to check out the FAQs for that. Thanks!

But that won't solve the problem. Have a look on B&H and I think it is Chimera that make attachments for soft-box to light stands which allow for a small flash like the SB8000 to then attach and point into the soft-box.

    Thanks!

I've got the page bookmarked, but it'll be be on hold since I just talked the wife into letting me get some monolights

I'll probably pick one or two up so if I'm out shooting anywhere I can use the softboxes with my flashes
