    First Attempt With Studio Strobe

This is my second attempt at posting this, because my browser had a brainfart the last time I tried to upload the pic, but anyway, here goes nothing...

This is a pic of a rock in one of my fish tanks. I just sat the stobe in a tupperware container ontop of the tank. I used the onboard popup flash on my camera to trigger the strobe, turning the power down to the minimum setting.

    Critques and suggestions are appreciated.

    E-500, Popup flash (to trigger slave), Studio Slave (main light), Sigma 55-200mm @ 200mm, ISO160, f.22, 1/160...

A few more from today. The 3rd picture has no post processing to it except for unsharp mask and resizing.

I like the rock photo, John. Besides good light placement, learning how to trigger slaved or radioed off camera lights is very important.
