    best resource for understanding lighting?

    So does anyone here have advice for an online resource to help people understand lighting?

    You could start with this site http://super.nova.org/PhotoClass/ and then do a google search as well after to get to more advanced stuff.

    Web Photo School

    Check the Web Photo School lessons on this site. They're all about lighting and digital cameras. They have basic, free lessons, as well as more advanced lessons that you can pay for. The lessons are easy to follow, very detailed, and they have them for all kinds of subjects.

    This isn't an on-line resource, but you really need to see lighting to understand how it works. This DVD does a really good job with that.
