B&W Portrait with speedlights

Here is a recent portrait I shot for a co-worker. SB28 behind and to camera left set on 70mm at about 1/2 or 1/4 power for a hairlight. SB800 to camera right in front of subjects shot through 45 inch umbrella at 1/32 to 1/16 power. Didn't write down my flash settings. (sorry) Trigger with pocket wizards and shot against black backdrop.

There is a little bit of the mother's hair blown out by the hairlight, but that could be touched up easily in PS.

Otherwise it looks good! Its amazing what you can do with only 2 little lights

Thanks for the comments jorgemonkey. The little lights are handy. Beats setting up the big ones all the time especially when you are working with a limited amount of room.

I would make the same comment, bring down the hair light a bit. Otherwise, nicely lit and very nice expressions/positioning. I think I would have also tried this in a sepia.

Daniel, thanks for the comments. I agree. I got the hair light a little to bright. Probably should have brought my key up a bit too to even it out some more or maybe filled with a reflector on the left side. Sepia might look good as well.
