    NHL training camp

I am in such awe at all the great football shots I've seen here lately. I hope to be that good someday. I had a chance to catch a couple days of training camp this weekend and I'm going back tomorrow. Here are a few decent ones I got.

    Re: NHL training camp

Nice - getting me psyched for hockey season! I like the second one and the second to last one. Faces are usually the key for good sports photos, I think.

You might tone down the watermark a bit. I understand why it's there. I have one, too. But you want to balance protecting yourself with the viewer's experience. Just make it smaller and put it in one of the corners. Web-sized images aren't really big enough for anyone to do much with. So you're not risking that much. And if someone likes an image enough to pinch it and share it, your name will be on it. I actually sort of like it when people"borrow" my Web images - sort of...

Thanks John! I know what you are saying about the watermark but these are only my versions for the web which tend to get stolen by punk kids for their myspace pages or whatever the current rage is. They know enough to crop it out if I put it in the corner so I try to put it where they won't be able to easily remove it. I know it's yucky. I don't do that on any high res stuff that I actually care about. I might save a copy before I mark it for future posts here

Thanks Dylan! I've been trying to shoot hockey from the stands for 11 years and I'm only just now getting a clue. Now all I need is a new lens.......

    Sarah-
I understand all of that since I post on our mountain bike site and then find my photos on all kinds of other mountain bike sites. But since the 14-year olds that pinch the photos aren't making any money, I just consider it marketing.

#2, 4, and 5 stand out to me for the action, 5 particularly for the colour contrast.
