    Turkey Bowl 08

Every year at Thanksgiving, when everyone comes home from college, my brother and a bunch of his classmates meet back up at the high school to play the annual Turkey Bowl. Most of them played football in high school, so it's a semi-serious game of "tackling encouraged" flag football. More than anything else, it is highly entertaining. And as for me, I've never actually shot football, so I thought it would be a fun thing to shoot. Here are a few favorites.

My brother Wes, a former (3rd string) wide receiver, catching a TD pass

    There's always a pass rush.

    Like I said, tackling encouraged

    Another TD reception

    Classic stiff arm

If this had been one foot to the right, it'd be the perfect image. But photographically I love it, and I was pretty excited to get a shot like this first time shooting football.

Brad you nailed a couple of those. I love photographing anything that has action attached to it. Glad you got a chance to broaden you horizons.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Lori, it really was. As I told those guys, it was probably the most fun thing I've shot in a long while. And I'll certainly tell Wes you said hi!

OT, thank you, I really appreciate that! I agree, getting the action in a frame is one of my favorite things to do.

Very nice job Brad, that last shot is great. As OT I love shooting the action and you have some nice captures.
