A day in the Life of me !

well today was a busy one !

first I got up early and went Mountain Biking with some friends









Something is just not quite right here with Jen's bike





the rider is befuddeld as to how he wound up sitting on the ground



this was the first time this guy has done this drop, He is 65 Years old!




then I gathered up the Family and we went into Boston for the Mayors cup road race. a .7 mile criterium around City Hall.

for the mens race we positioned our selvs at a turn at the bottom of a Slight downhill

they were Cooking course was .7 miles they were averaging 1:20 laps.












the race started at 5 so light was fading fast , and We did move ourselfs up to the Start finish area for the Sprint , which was a good sprint, but it was too dark and none of them came out worth a crap.

After all the ceremonies ( which we took that time to go to the North end and get some grub ) there was a Cover band that Played , they weren't bad worth watching for free.

Funny you say that. the P&S I use for Mt bike pic is all screwed ( LCD is smashed ) up and most time unless I pan it most of the time the shots are blurs otherwise

What surprises me is the Fuji shots look sharper than the Canon :blush2:

I'm not sure what it is, there seems to be a little haze around the helmets, and the contrast looks low. Could be part of the resizing/processing, but it looks like shooting without a lens hood maybe? Still doesn't explain the haze unless you were wide open and these are crops near the corner of the image.
What 80mm lens were you using?

the lens is a Promaster 28-80 Zoom , I had a Hood on it, I was shooting at ISO 100 and I had it pretty wide open , the Mens race was late in the day 5pm - 6:30 so there were some heavy shadows.

ahh but the fuji takes it's fair share of Blurry Pictures.

A zoom at full extreme (wide or tele) and wide open - even with my Canon L 100-400 I don't get best quality there.
