Hi My Name Is Tommy And I Am A New Member Trying To Figure Our How To Use This Web Site.
I Have Joined Because I Have A New Sony A100 And I Need Some Help. I Have Had Some Experince With A Film Slr In The Past And Am Very Excited About This New Camera. However, I Do Have Some Questions, Such As, When I Try To Shoot With A Fast Sutter Speed Such As 1/1000 In Broad Daylight My Pictures Are Very Dark. I Am Using The Lens That Was Included In The Kit It Is A 18-70mm.
I Want Very Much To Take Action Photos Of My Grandson Playing Football And Would Appreciated Any Hints.

Could you post some examples of your pics & what all the camera settings are? There's more to it then shutter speed.
