My girl and I at Fort Worth, TX at the Botanical Gardens last weekend. Technically, I didn't take that one, but I took several on my own. I'll find a good one or two to post.

Glad to see someone else interested.

Meanwhile, Mocking Birds have built a nest in the hedge in our front yard. It is wonderful watching the parents bring food for the fledglings. I plan to try getting a photo of the little ones tomorrow morning. The plan is to set up a ladder about 20 feet from the nest and peer down with a 200-300 mm lens. We will see if it works. The sun ought to be right in the morning.

The skys did clear, we were driving around near Galveston Bay.

The Baby Mocking Birds are growing. Even though it was overcast this morning, I set a ladder in the yard so I could shoot down into the nest. The parent birds were not real happy with me, but it worked. I ended up shooting with a 200 mm lens about 5-6 feet from the nest.

Due to the overcast, the depth of field is pretty shallow.

Spring in the Sierra Nevada... Well, looks a little more like winter still... Sorry to mess with the theme.. ;) It's a springtime activity for me! Sorry shots are a little big... Hope it's not too bad for anyone.. The low res ones were realy bad looking, so I didn't like linking them..

And from the day, a little further up the hill...

Blue skies and white snow... A springtime ritual in the Eastern Sierra Nevada, California..

All shot with a700 and Tamron 18-250mm over the first weekend in April... Just south of Mammoth Lakes area... Splitboarding... Good times!
