    Sony lithium ion battery question

    Hola-

I just picked up a Sony DSC-W80 sub-compact camera w/ its own lithium ion battery & charger. In the instructions, it gives no clue as to how to charge it. There's a light on the charger that goes off after the battery's been in it for a while- does this mean it's done and I have to take the battery out before any damage occurs, or can I leave it in the charger until the next time I need the battery , w/out harming the battery, or what?

New batteries are $50, so I'd rather this one lasts a while.

    Thanks for any help.

Re: Sony lithium ion battery question

I leave them in the charger all the time. The battery chargers are pretty smart now. I am pretty sure they stop charging when they need to. I wouldn't worry about it.

Congratulations on the new camera. Post a review after you've played with it for a bit!
