Smile On the road w/ the A700

One of the delights of having the A700 is the +/- 2 Ev HDR feature it can provide without much effort, after you upgrade to ver. 4 software.

Some people insist on using HDR feature to create "bizarre" looking images and to each their own. Personally, I just like messing around with it to enhance images and pull out some detail, which might have been lost with conventional adjustment, otherwise.

Anyway ... hitting the road, up in Northern Wisconsin, people are quite creative and I found this rather original looking "Chainsaw Sculpture" along Highway 51, up near Minocqua.

If you can't afford the heavy-duty gear ... have no fear, they used to do this with a piece of charcoal and a dark tent
There's no money in this ... it's just "love of the game."
Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.

Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera, that gives you the most improvement in your photography. Refrain from "INTRO" lenses.

Nicely done! I'm not a huge fan of HDR for that reason exactly. All too often it looks "bizzare" and way overcooked.

I can't believe that was done with a chainsaw though. That is just incredible.

I like it ! It brings out the detail in that carving as to where you wouldnt see it as much if you didn't enhance image.
