Lightbulb Remote shots can be interesting ...

Using the REMOTE control feature of the a700/a850.a900, I have acquired a number of shots of "wild birds" I simply could not have gotten by standing anywhere nearby. If you don't have a reasonably long lens, these birds are going to look rather small.

If you can set up a robot with your A700 ... I contend that "Nature" will allow you to get something ... much nicer.

If you can't afford the heavy-duty gear ... have no fear, they used to do this with a piece of charcoal and a dark tent
There's no money in this ... it's just "love of the game."
Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.

Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera, that gives you the most improvement in your photography. Refrain from "INTRO" lenses.

Nice shots! The chickadee in the last one is great. Now point it so that you cannot see the 'hand of man' in the shots. - TF

Very neat! Once Ive sat outside nearly 4 hours with some snacks and my camera pointed at a homemade bird feeder I had no luck. These birds are too easy to scare. I never thought of remote trigger. My favorite shots from this collection are the first and the last. Hey that bird in the 3rd shot has a really long neck what species is that?
