    Unhappy KM A1 Problem

I recently purchased a gently used Konica Minolta A1, which has worked perfectly for several months. Recently, distrotion began to appear in the viewfinder (and subsequently the actual image). The image is mostly purple with, and it's almost impossible to make out what is being photographed. At first the problem was periodic, but now is here for good.

I have tried everything I know-battery replacement, adjusting all of the settings--and nothing has worked. Any ideas?

Sounds to me like the processor or one of major electronic components has given up the ghost, in which case you should probably be looking for a new camera. A gently used A200 might be a great upgrade.
