I find it difficult to equate the coming together of Sony and the now, sadly, defunct Konica MInolta camera design and manufacturing business. I bought into the 'New' [KM] kit when, against my better judgement, I bought my Dimage A200 only to have KM and Sony dump me a couple of months later. Had I realised that this was about to happen I would have bought Nikon or Canon rather than Sony. Early reports on the Sony badged products do not bode well in my opinion. The Alpha 100 (after a promising start) struggles to compete and new product seems still in the future. I have just read a report on a 'new' Sony lens which says it has a retro appearance and feel even to being slow to auto focus before giving up and completely misfocussing.

Hardly the dawn of a golden age IMHO. I will be glad when I can justify/afford to get out of KM (film camera) and Sony gear totally. Until then I will just grit my teeth and carry on.
