    Best Landscape Lens Maxxum 5D

What is considered a good landscape lens for the Maxxum 5D/Sony Alpha? I currently have the Maxxum kit lens 18-70, 35-70 f4, beer can, 50 f1.4. I might be taking a trip where I'd like to get some good landscape shots.

Sigma 10-20 or Tamron 11-18. If you are asking bout your current lenses, the 18-70 can be used, but isn't all that wide.

    Here's some sources:

    Sigma 10-20 $465-

    Tamron 11-18 $495-

That's actually about the only source I can find. Prices seem to be the same with any others. If you had more time you could wait for a used one to show up somewhere. The 17-xx 2.8-4 D from Minolta can be had (used) at KEH.com for about $300, but I don't know how good it is, and it is the same range as your kit lens.

Lenses are tough for this mount right now, in about a year we won't have such issues. Sigma has alot of lenses coming up for the system. Unfortunately, most of them are pre-order or not in production yet.
