No it does not. The back of the lens will hit the front of the TC.

    A 1.4x will lose 1 stop.

Here is all you need to lnow about Minolta TCs.

    Red Lions

The Ladysmith Red Lion's that is...
With an infant at home, I haven't been able to get out much and shoot much, as I'd like with my 'new' beercan, but took a few shots at a local music festival in April (Festival International). Finally got around to downloading the photo's. Here's a couple of decent shots, though I don't usually 'do' people.
As from the camera, just resized.

My Beercan lens came in Thursday evening. I managed to take a couple of hours by the Gulf of Mexico. Galveston Island is one of my favorite places for photography.

Nice shots, I like the pelican especially. I haven't been back to Galveston since Ike visited. I need to get back there.

Thanks, The Pelican is the fourth in a series. Unfortunately the shadows make the photos OK instead of Great. Oh well, good memories of a wonderful afternoon.

Huh....thought it was about time I popped my head in to say hello to you guys I have just been so incredibly busy these past few months with the process of becoming a red hot press photographer :aureola:

Anyway, here's a beercan shot from yesterday of a very cute little punkster - a baby coot!

Mette, what a fantastic shot!

A great example of what the beercan is capable of. I have to admit though that I just ordered the 70-300 G.. We'll see if my beercan can hold up to the modern optic..

Mette, wow! Great capture, focus, angle!

What the heck kind of turkey duck is that thing?

Canuck - I've been pretty impressed by the resolving power of the can, my bet is the biggest difference is in CA control, and focus speed of course. Let us know how you find they compare! Then if you'll kindly let me borrow it a bit.

Unfortunately, it can't. The beercan is my favorite lens when working within its limitations, but the 70-300G really widens the limitations. The problem I have with the 70-300G is that it cannot find auto focus unless there is good light and/or low-contrast background. It is an f/5.6 lens. - TF

    Thanks guys!

Anbesol, it's a baby coot!!! Most people think it's incredibly ugly but I find it rather cute

Canuck, can't believe that you think the 70-300 is going to be a match....
