    a99 at Adorama $2799.00

Sony SLT-A99V Digital SLR Camera Body SLT-A99V

I don't see image stabilization but I could be missing it. I have also fallen a bit out of favor with the EVF technology. I enjoy using one but when I shoot portraits and dozens of shots back to back my head spins.lol
I think I will wait until the 36 megapixel model is out. But if it's like the a77 Sony shooters will love it and others will slam it as usual. Personally I love Sony products.

Thanks, Greg. I'm having a tough time keeping up with all the announcements but I plan on having an article up about it later today.

    It's a sensor shifter.

That means that you're using the 109 phase detect points on the sensor to focus while you move the sensor to correct camera movement. I suppose it makes sense.

Thanks Charles. I was wiping sleep out of my eyes reading this. Can't wait PJ. You are going to be a busy guy.

Maybe today. Too many announcements right now and it's impossible to keep up and do real analysis

John one thing I am interested in, I guess cropped lenses will still only shoot at 11 megapixel? Unless Sony has really pulled off a magic trick?

That makes sense to me. I don't see how it could be any other way.

I'm deep into the A99 article now and I have to say, it looks like Sony hit it out of the park with this one.
