    Is the a900 weather sealed?

Here goes, 2nd try lol (accidently posted this thread on off topic).

This question goes for the body itself. I looked around the web before I posted this question, the consensus was that it was weather sealed but had some parts of the web saying it was not. I am not planning on getting the 900 but was just curious.

Yep, the field tests so far have shown it to be quite a happy performer in less than friendly environments.

My biggest concern is actually for some of the lenses, as A-Mount lenses have never really been seen as great "weatherproof" lenses... Most should be fine, but beware of big zooms that move a lot of air in and out when zoomed full range. My Tamron 18-250 would be an example of this... Sucks in dust/lint if zoomed too fast. I cleaned it the other day just by holding it on it's side while zooming in and out real fast by hand, off camera... Moved the link around and cleared things for now... ;)

I quit using my 18-200 for that reason, and because it's not a stellar performer. The whole thing is full of dust on the inside. I called both Sony and B&H (from where I got it) and they both said I was SOL- neither would fix it.

I only wanted it fixed so I could sell it for eve a few $$, but full of dust I'd never get much for it, so it sits in my closet...
