    Weird stuff going on, John...

John, I've had a lot of unusual error messages today just posting like I always do, including an error uploading a photo in Rick's Battle of the Clans thread, and my reply not registering (although it's there) on the VF thread page for drg's Lego thread:

    Pinhole Lego

After entering my reply, I got an error screen saying the system wasn't accepting it, and to try again later or hit refresh. When I hit refresh, I got a new error screen saying I couldn't post again that soon.

When I checked the thread in a new browser window, my reply was there but not listed on the menu page.

Anyone else having a strange day on the site?

Re: Weird stuff going on, John...

Made a post last night with Firefox and had an error message. I clicked "refresh" like the message said to do, and it said that the forum wasn't accepting new posts. I went back to the thread thru the link to the main forum page and it did take my post.

Getting the same thing today here with IE. What's up?

    Here's the error message:

"There seems to have been a problem with the Photography & Digital Camera Forums database.
Please try again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, whom you can also contact if the problem persists.

    We apologise for any inconvenience."

    Not Sure

I haven't had any problems. But I've been really busy with other stuff and haven't had much time for the forums. I've head three complaints and I'm not sure they're all about the same problem. Please let me know if the problems continue. And I'll pay attention and see if I can find anything out.

    Thanks-

    Confirmed and Fixed

Ok, guys. There was a database problem earlier today. I've been told it's fixed. Thanks for letting me know. Sorry I didn't notice this thread right away. Not that I would have been able to fix it myself. And usually our developers are right on top of this stuff. All the servers are connected to beepers that go off if there are problems. So the guys usually know there's a problem before I do.

I posted about this in the moderators forum as well. I had it again last night, again in the Kentucky gathering thread.
