unstable site lately

Within the past week, I have experienced the following:

After posting a reply, I have got back an INVALID THREAD message. (5 times)
After carefully logging in, I have got back this is your 4th INVALID attempt. (4 times)
I have been logged OUT while switching from one screen to another.
I have been logged out after finishing a reply
Edit icon sometimes shows up after immediate postings and sometimes not and sometimes it disappears in a short time and sometimes not for a few days.

I haven't seen any of these problems. But that doesn't mean they aren't happening. The only time I've seen an invalid thread error is when I try to go to or post to a thread that's been deleted or the URL is wrong.

This only happens to me if I don't choose save my username and password upon login. You have to use the checkbox. It has something to do with cookies. The session variables don't seem to last long or translate to the following pages if you choose not to use the checkbox. Use the 'Remember Me' check box.

Of course it depends on your browser sometimes.

well murphys law now has me getting logged out once in a while after posting ... this has only happened at work when I use IE ... at home I use firefox and have not encountered any issues ....
