Trying to post a review of a lens that doesn't exist!

I am not sure if I am in the right forum but I am trying to write a review of a rare Canon lens that is not on the Photography Review database and there are are 1000s of lenses on the database! If I send a pic to Phtog Rev admin with my review & phot of the lens can it be added to the database for review?

Thank you Greg, Another View and Photo John of Photography Review! This lens is off the map! The lens that I currently own that "doesn't exist" is an extremely rare Carl Zeiss 75-300mm MC Macro autofocus zoom lens in Canon EF mount. You might think it's probably just a Zeiss zoom lens with a Canon EOS adapter, a very popular (and clever) method among professional photographers to use Zeiss glass on Canon cameras. Nope! No adapters of any kind on this lens. This lens has a genuine bayonet Canon EF mount!

There is almost no info about this lens on the internet - I googled my lens and nothing came up. The only info I found was that it was designed by Carl Zeiss of Germany and Japan optic engineers in the 1990's. I even went in person with the lens to a local "expert" camera dealer with "25+ years of photography experience" and when I told them I had a Carl Zeiss lens in Canon EF mount they just laughed! They said that my "lens doesn't exist". I even offered them to exam it or test it on any of thier Canon cameras and they didn't even want to bother. They said my lens was just a Zeiss lens for Contax/Yashica cameras and then I just gave up and walked out of the store.

Anyway my "lens that doesn't exist" is now perfectly mounted on my Canon 5D EOS Digital full frame SLR camera. The AF is super sharp and TTL light meter in the viewfinder works perfectly. The photos taken of portrait/wildlife/macro by the "lens that doesn't exist" look superb with beautiful color rendition - especially at the macro setting. I am pretty sure I own a little bit of camera history here as very few of these lens were made but I will let you guys at PR be the judge! What does it look like? It looks like any of the black Canon EF "L series zoom lenses" in similar focal length. The Zeiss glass seems to have above average multi-coating (green/purple reflections). The lens is of metal construction and has a deep black finish with a crimson-red ring at the end. Oh and the lens cap and lens barrel says "Carl Zeiss" on it. More than happy to send a photo of the lens to prove the existance of the "lens that doesn't exist". Photo John, let me know how and where I can send a photo of the lens for PR. Thanks!
