Strange PM problem

I don't if this problem is on my end or on PR.

I just received 3 emails telling me I have a PM. When I click into the link to get to the PM, there is no message. Then I discovered that the three notifications of the emails were dated October - and 2 in November.

Any clues?

Something is going flukey with pm's. I just received an old notifiction (2nd time) that my mailbox was full on one of our other sites. It's not full.

The problem is not at your end Liz. I just sent a note to the engineers.

Here is a copy paste of one - they're still coming - I have gotten about 6-7 within 10 minutes.

The reason I thought the problem might be mine until now - is the fact that I've been getting some of my gmail late - some gmails have delayed up to 6 hours. Yesterday I contacted gmail through their system, but haven't heard anything yet. The problem isn't all the time, just some days - then there are quite a few on those days. Most of the time it's great.

When I got the PR emails today about PM - I thought "Oh No! my gmail has been held up for days now! Glad I'm wrong.

Thanks Lara! I don't mind - as long as I know it's not me.

Odd things will happen with gmail from time to time. They are still in beta, which means they are testing stuff. Any engineer will tell you that you can be working on one thing and all of a sudden something else messes up. Ah the joys of MIS.

Hopefully our engineers and production team figured out what our problem was. I hope you aren't still getting notifications.

I got 70 PLUS emails stating that I have REPLIES to threads ... some from threads that haven't been replied to in WEEKS or get this .... HAVE BEEN FROZE FOR OVER A MONTH!

I only got 3 emails stating I have a PM(from weeks ago).... I must not be as popular as Liz

Who is paying me for my time to sort out which is a real reply? Just add it to my moderator check ;)

I also got a bunch of PM and New Thread notifications today for dated posts. It's obviously a mess up with the email notification system that seems to happen from time to time.

lol, I got an email from LensCrazy today...he sent it on November 20th! Since when did email get slower than snail mail? Poor LensCrazy probably thought I was ignoring him ;) (nah....I wouldn't do that to him!)
