    Spell checker in the editor.

I could have sworn the old site had a spell checker, but it's been several years since I have posted here.

If I'm going to post here, I'll need one!!

In the area where you type you postings on the grey bar above to the right there are three selections, one is ABC with a blue tick, that is the spell checker.

    Em,

Here is the snapshot of my browser and the edit shows no spellchecker. Might be my browser and OS (Firefox and FreeBSD).

    Weird!

Definately the editor, I looked at it in Mozilla Firefox and it isn't there either. In IE is is to the leff of the double up and down arrows on the right top, but is missing from Mozilla Firefox in both modes.

Must rely on either an activeX control, or VB code.
So not supported on Macs or the PCs of the elightened who aren't using Internet Exploder.

I have the Google toolbar in IE. Its spell checker works fine in this editor as well as most other entry forms on the web.

Ditto. The Google toolbar spell checker works great. And it's always there. And you don't have to ask overworked site managers to add another project to their calendar

Well, if I was running Windows and IE I wouldn't need google toolbar now would I. ;)

Like In said above, OS is FreeBSD and browser is Mozilla Firefox. So google toolbar ain't gonna work.

OK, so get used to my spelling.

Of course, if we were using IE we wouldn't need the Google toolbar for spell checking! Although Googl has a Mozilla version, I have never been able to even download it. No matter, bad spelling is endearing.

True Ronnoco, but I don't always use the spell checker either. Often it comes up with US spelling which annoys me, being Aussie.

With my luck a spell checker would check my photos and deny my attempts to post them to the forums

Re: Spell checker in the editor.

I installed Mozilla FireFox which goggle now has a toolbar for.

Testing the spell checker now to see if it works or not.

Wow, pretty neat. It found run together words too.
