Glad you like it here! I've been coming around for about 5 years or so, and always enjoy it. I came here asking advice on which P&S camera to buy, and was asked questions about what kind of photography I was interested in, etc. When I replied about my love of photography, everyone suggested I consider an SLR.......well the rest is history. My first picture was shot in a gray parking lot on a gray day - the subject was "pigeons." Yep! I was so excited about my Rebel 2K that I had to stop on the way home to try it out - between the rain drops. I couldn't figure out why it didn't look like other images I had seen here! However, with all the advice I got here, I soon learned to improve. Now I have the Rebel 350XT with a few nice lenses. My images have improved a bit too!
Just to let you know - the weekends are a little slower here as are most websites - so keep posting even if you don't get as many replies on a Saturday. :-)
Hey y'all! Thanks for the warm welcome!! I have a Canon - Power Shot 5.0MP Digital Camera S2 IS. I am new to this. I have only been shooting since Feb. and was using a plain ole' digital. I bought myself this camera and told myself if I do ok and get better, I will splurge even more on the next! lol
I have posted some shots in the critique forum, sports and art.
