    site not working with chrome

I can log into it with firefox. I haven't tested it with I.E or opera. I can go to the home page no problem but when I click the forum link in the menu bar it reports a database error but doesn't say anything else.

Re: site not working with chrome

I'm using Chrome with no problem.

Correction a few hours later: OK I have a problem sometimes. Database error. Sometimes I get a message saying the server has sent nothing

Re: site not working with chrome

I suspect it's not browser related.
I had the same "Database Error" message using FireFox.
I refreshed the page and got into the Forums just fine.

Unfortunately intermittent faults are hard to reproduce and fix.

it may not be browser related, but I had chrome and firefox open at the same time and I could see the site in firefox but not in chrome.

    working in chrome now though...?

I could not access the forums for three days. I use Chrome. All well now though. Could it have had anything to do with the hurricane?

Sorry I didn't see this thread sooner, guys. And I apologize for the forums problems. It was not your browser and it was not Sandy. We had a major server issue with the forums and gallery machines. It appears to be fixed now, although I am still a bit nervous. In the future, if there are site problems, you can check our Facebook page for info. I posted a couple of notices there over the week.

alas with the facebook changes I missed that post. Very strange that chrome wouldn't load the page despite refreshing (which probably added to the load on the server) but firefox did not even appear to be slow??

Glad to hear it is all going well, I might start to get withdrawal pains otherwise!

Regarding the Facebook changes, if you add the PhotographyREVIEW Facebook page to an "Interests List" it will show up in your Facebook feed. If you click on the little gear icon just blow the cover photo on the right side of the PhotographyREVIEW Facebook page, there's an option to create an Interests List. I suggest creating one for photography - that's what I did.

Thanks PJ, I actually had to do that to see status updates from my wife. Increasingly I am using google+ I find the feeds are more news oriented which is what I prefer.
