Site hanging with firefox

There are points when objects are loading that Firefox just hangs momentarily, and fairly frequently, anybody else experiencing this? It started happening to me today.

It is appallingly slow.
Just on the XP laptop I use most of the time.
Not on any of the Windows 7 laptops.
Or on the XP desktop.

It's slow with IE8 too, and upgrading to FireFox 7 makes no difference.
Over 5 minutes to load the page.
I uninstalled adblock plus and noscript, so it's a vanilla install.

Still having the issue. It causes firefox to not respond as well, but it always comes around, just very very slowly. Argh!

I can't get it to load at all at home with my firefox. Switch to chrome, no problem. Also using firefox 3 at work, no problem. I only started having issues after upgrading firefox at home.

I have speed issues on IE8/Win7 as well.
It doesn´t render until it has all the adverts loaded and some of then are SLOW.
Also it bounces around from site to site loading stuff, thiNk I saw it was using resources from carreview.com at one point !
