The site is incredibly slow loading pages.
I was trying to open about 40 pages (FireFox tabbed interface is great!) and it took over 5 minutes for the first page to load. After 10 minutes, 5 of them had failed with "connection with the server was reset" and at around 20 minutes most of them had loded the forum blue bars, but no message text, no adverts and no photos.
Loading photos seemes to be the main culprit, over 35 minutes sinc trying to open it and Bird ID IV hadn't finished loading.
It may be significant that the adverts hadn't loaded, since they come from another site.

I hope this rather random list helps pinpoint the problem.

I frequently get the same just loading a single page.

Are you still having the same problem? I'm on a hotel LAN system, with Firefox on my laptop. Everything is loading fine. If ads are missing it's because we aren't running as many at the moment. There aren't any ad loading problems that I'm aware of. Because of the time difference, SmartWombat, you may have been on during some sort of maintenance. I'm not sure, though. Please let me know if the problem continues.

I hadn't noticed anything slow here....but I'm not on dialup either.

I'm on 640K broadband and was getting about 9K form the site
Seems to be a lot faster now (fingers crossed)

The geeks seem to have tweaked the site a bit, because the editing buttons in the quick reply window now work on my downstairs PC.

Right now the site is operating the fastest that I've seen it since we went over to this kind of message system. Sorry it isn't right for you too.
