Question(s) on Posting

Hope this is the right forum to post this...
I still have not figured out how some are able to (1) post pictures in a thread without the 640x480 restriction, and (2) place text between the pictures. I only know two ways to post a photo in a thread: use the "Upload Photo" button, which imposes the size restriction and does not allow writing something between the photos (does it?), and uploading a photo to my gallery and placing a link to it in the thread, using the "world-link", which allows larger sizes. This may even allow text between photos, but, later, when I choose the thread, I just see the link, not the photo. What am I doing wrong? It can't be that hard can it? I mean, it's not rocket science...

    Re: Question(s) on Posting

I had the same question not too long ago.

You can post larger images by first uploading them to a host like photobucket and then using the from that image. Your image will appear once you submit your reply. If you delete the image on the host site a box with a red X usually appears where it was posted on other sites.

You can add text between images like this for example...

    text, text, text....

    text, text, text............

    text..........

    Hope that helps

    Re: Question(s) on Posting

Okay... I am going to give this a try...
This first is a shot of my "new" grandson, form the forum's galleries...

The next, also from my gallery, is my recent "Twins" entry...

So, we'll see how well this works...

Well, that didn't seem to get it. It embeds the links, alright, but they show up as just that: links. When I view others' threads, the photos appear with the text, just as though they were attachments. Again, I know how to use the "Upload Photos", but that has size restrictions and does not allow interspersed text.

Any other suggestions? Do I have something set wrong?

    Re: Question(s) on Posting

    Here's another attempt...

    If it doesn't work...
...it didn't, so I am trying to delete this post. How do I do that? the button pop-up says "Edit/Delete Message", but I find no selection for deleting. Seems to me I've done this before, but don't seem to remember how.

    Hallelujah!
Vale, tink ewe zoo belly mooch!
I think my problem has been that I was right-clicking the photo, and choosing "copy shortcut", which got me the link. Thanks for you patient assistance. I knew I could learn to do this.
