    Question Photosize limit?

I have looked at a variety of places in this Forum and cannot find anything that tells me if there is a limit to the size of a photo that I can upload. I am assuming that there is.

Also if someone can provide insight on whether or not there is a special function in PS Elements that has to be used. Thanks.

    Cheers,

I want to keep image size and file size relatively small in the forums. But you can post as large and heavy as you want in the gallery. If you have something that you'd like people to look at big, I suggest you upload a small version on the forum and include a link to the monster you've uploaded in the gallery.

    Re: Photosize limit?

To resize your photos in PSE, click the Image tab at top, then Resize, then Image Size. This opens the Image Size box (there may be a shortcut I don't know.) In the top box, Pixel Dimensions, make sure the units are in pixels. Enter the Width or Height you want (I choose 600 for the width, the computer figures out the height.) Then click OK and you're done resizing. You want it smaller than 630 width I believe for these forums.

To change the file size, click Save As, select the extension you want from the Format dropdown (I use .jpg), and hit Save. From there, the JPEG Options box opens up. It shows you at the bottom what the size of your file will be. Slide the slider to the left to make it smaller and to the right to make it bigger. You want it smaler than 200k I belive for this forum.

    Good luck
