    Photo Critique with a photo

When critiquing a photo is it OK to put in your own photo's as part of the critique, I've only now come to the realization that maybe it's not so nice to do this?

    Hi,

You may post your own photo if you feel that it will help when critiquing one of my pictures.

    I'd ask the original poster.

I don't have a problem with that. It's your photo. If you're using it as an example of something, that seems perfectly legit to me.

I'd probably ask first too. But it should be your photograph.

Re: Photo Critique with a photo

If I post a photo for critique, it's because I am seriously asking for help to improve my techniques (otherwise I'll post my photo elsewhere!), so if a point is better illustrated by you adding one of your photos as part of the critique I would have no problem with that what so ever! Quite the contrary! I would imagine that my sentiments are shared by most if not all that would put a photo up for critique. I'm just really happy that there's guys like you out there who are willing to share your wisdom and experience and help people like me get better at something that we love doing

Thanks for the feedback, I think I'll take the approach of asking first just to be on the safe side. S
