Does Flashblock block all Flash? We're using some Flash on the Home page and it's in a lot of ads. I'm not so concerned about the ads, unless it stops them from loading and slows down pageload times. You're saying that it's all working better?

By the way, one of our developers is working on page performance and he just got a 4x improvement in the reviews. That's not including the ads, though. Some of our ads are still a problem. Not the photography-specific ones. It's the non-photo ones. Solution - more people! More people on the site means we can pull more photography ad campaigns and not bother with the third-party non-photo advertisers.

Thanks for the Firefox tips, Paul. I haven't upgraded Firefox since I installed it, I think.

My firefox is set to automatically update, and all I have to do is upload the browser again and they take effect. I have also done the hack he showed in another thread and the difference is amazing, especially for this site.

FlashBlock replaces a flash movie that AdBlock does not recognise as from an advertising server with a |> play button icon, so you can choose to play it if you want.

AdBlock blocks adverts - and by not going out to the advert servers the page display speeded up a bit. More important was that it stopped the crashes from badly behaving flash.
