Question I have a thought... The Best of Photographyreview.com - The Book?

I don't know if this is feasible logistically, financially or whatever else, but I was wondering if there is an interest in doing a book showcasing the best photography from here.

I have seen it done on other forums and there ways of doing it.

That's a great idea Brian! One question I have. If we do something like that, we certainly couldn't include everyone's photos. How would that work without someone feeling left out? I think everyone would want at least one of their images in there. If we have a "contest" to choose "best photos" I don't think that would represent PR as it really is - inclusive of photographers at every level.

This isn't a "negative" (pardon the pun) but just my first thought. I would love to see this happen.

That's a really cool idea! We could pick the people with the most posts here on the forums...

Something like that would cost a few bucks to do - maybe if we figured out what it cost and people wanted to pay per image, and maybe limit to five per person just so it's really a group project... Just thinking and typing.

I don't know how to go about doing something like this either.
    BUT....
I know of a website that basically lets you basically "self publish" a book.
    http://www.lulu.com/

Maybe we could let the moderators pick the photographs.
Maybe what it could be, could be broken down by each forum.

I don't know anything about cost or logistics or any of that, but I know a book like this about something like this, done like this, can be done.

These guys do it too. I haven't used either, and haven't looked at pricing or anything yet, and there may be more out there too.

Since a lot of us visit different forums, I dont know if that would work. We could do it by category as long as the photographer chooses which category they want to be in. Just thinking again...
