    help posting photos

I am having difficulty getting my photos uploaded. They have a valid extension...jpeg...but when I try to upload it tells me I have an invalid extension. What do I need to be doing that I'm not doing?

I have no idea but try posting a picture and then someone can look at the info that shows up and go from there.

I've never used .jpeg - all my files are .jpg
But i just test it and it worked fine for me.

Is it possible that the size is too large. I just checked and one of them is 3872x2592 and 3.33 mgb. And it is jpg not jpeg...I had a finger blip going on.

I'm using microsoft internet explorer in response to the web browser and in reponse to my shutterbug I did try to get them uploaded but I kept getting invalid responses. Thank you for all your suggestions. I'm open to anything that will make this work.

    Re: help posting photos

It could be that it's reporting the wrong error message where the upload fails.

I use Lightroom, and have a custom export action set up to size to 640 max dimension and quality 80 - so I can save images for PR.com with one click.

In Thumbs+ I have a custom process to resize to 75% twice, then unsharp mask, then resize twice again. then unsharp mask - each one slightly different for the 1DmkIIN and 1DSmkII because of the different pixel dimensions - the result is a 640 pixel maximum dimension.
    Much easier in Lightroom

    Try with my image.
Go back up the thread and right click on my picture then save it to your disk.
We know that picture will upload just fine.
Then you try to upload it to this thread yourself.
