HELP password - email

I just discovered my e-mail listed is an old one no longer used.
When I attempted to change it the "password" box had black dots which in the past has been the saved password.

I changed the e-mail and confirmed then new screen indicated "password" not correct.

Duh, I don't remember the password used when I joined and when I got to the box that would help it ask for e-mail when I signed up.
What should I do?

I haven't been having problem posting here. But I had sent a PM to another member and expected at least an acknowledgment. When I had not received one I looked at my Account and discovered that I had not corrected my e-mail address after changing providers.
Even though I have been able to send and receive PMs I did not know if the incorrect e-mail address could be causing problems. When I made an attempt to correct my e-mail on file that's when I discovered my forgotten password. was needed.

This morn I received and e-mail telling me to click an address that does not indicate "photographyreview"it was from "Digital Camera Forum".
It looks suspect to me and have sent to our Captain of the Ship for his opinion.

Thank you for making me aware of the name.
Since that is the case maybe the e-mail I received is legit.

I was leery because my e-mail listed on my account was the old one and I did not know how my correct e-mail was used.
(Is that clear as mud?)

I got your PM with the e-mail and everything appears to be legit. We are getting errors in some admin e-mails right now and that's why the errors were there. As for "Digital Cameras Forum" - we changed the name of the forum recently to help with search engine positioning. I'm sorry if that confused you. But if you look at the title bar at the top of your browser you'll see it says, "Digital Camera Forum."

I hope that reassures you. Let me know if you have any more problems or if your e-mail address change doesn't get properly regtistered with the system.

Ok, thanks I now see "Digital Camera Forum." and I am logged on Ok.
But when I attempt to correct e-mail address the "load" just goes round and round for 10 minutes and does not change the e-mail address.
What am I missing now?

Just attempted to correct my e-mail address AGAIN (which DID NOT compute) and then received the same e-mail as several times before;
which contains:
Dear gotrocks,

Since you have recently changed your email, we require that you verify your new email address. You will only need to visit the url once to have your account updated.

When I click the new screen indicates "already activated"

But when I open my account and look it still has the old e-mail address.
Any suggestions? Thank you, ONE and ALL!

Uh oh - this is the second complaint I've had about this problem this week. Sorry about that. Please send me a PM with your new e-mail address and I will update it for you. And thanks for reporting the problem.
