hello! and who the **** is trying to use my account?

Lurker checking in. I found this site through mtbr.com and enjoy the images posted here, and advice.

But...

I have received a couple of emails in the last month from this site letting me know that someone is trying to access my account. Is this common?

Your account on Photography & Digital Camera Forums has been locked because someone has tried to log into the account with the wrong password more than 5 times. You will be able to attempt to log in again in another 15 minutes.

The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 74.53.243.34

The exact same thing (and from the exact same ip address) has been happening at another photography forum. There are some tips there on how to proceed, but in brief, it appears to be some sort of bot that is being turned loose on photography forums, trying to hack into user accounts.
