    PR T shirts

    whatever happened to this idea?

I am sick of doing mind numbingly boring titling edits at work and my mind seeking distractions started throwing around ideas for a hoodie (since it is cold here today) I was thinking of putting the PR logo into a gun barrel or a stylised slr image barrel with the tagline
"shoot to still, www.photographyreview.com" on the back and the plain pr logo in the corner of the chest on the front.

I think PR T-shirts are a good idea -- I'd wear mine all over the place, I promise!

GREAT IDEA! I'd pay for one!

You could put my name on mine - along with the logo "Best Photographer of 2010!"

    Re: PR T shirts

We all want PR T-shirts, but who wants to do the design, put out the initial expense, plus shipping them, etc.?

We have had them in the past but I missed out some how. I definitely want in.

    Re: PR T shirts

I've been ignoring this post but I guess it's time for me to weigh in. Yes, we have had discussions about T-shirts and we had a T-shirt a long, long time ago (designed in 1999 with the old logo). I agree we should have them and moderators should all get one. But Pam is right on with talk about money. Even though money is an issue, I'm going to look into it and see if I can make it happen. Mine old ones are all getting too faded

    Re: PR T shirts

Sorry PJ maybe I should have sent you a PM before I posted it. At least I didn't put it up the top in viewfinder, the thread would probably have gone nuts up there.

I see no reason why they shouldn't be for sale at the sort of price you would expect to pay for that sort of merchandise, although they could be used as a prize for the project.

Even as a mod I would be happy buying them even if I would effectively be paying for advertising. I am also happy to help out with design, not that I am any great shakes but I have designed a couple of hoodies for work in the past.

As for cost. If the ecenomics of this aren't there then I agree the idea should be scrapped (even if I did start the thread) but perhaps a poll to guage if there is enough interest and to see what price people think is fair to get it started and to give an idea of initial numbers.

I am guessing that PJ doesn't have the space to store any large quantity but a trickle of orders wouldn't make it worth while, and it does mean that a system to sell them would need to be set up. perhaps one of our prefered sponsors might be interested??

    Re: PR T shirts

    No problem, skyman

Selling them is a nice idea but the reality of managing the money and shipping isn't very efficient. The easiest solution is to use a service like Cafe Press. They handle production and fulfillment, although the design options are more limited if we go that route. You can check out what they have to offer here on our Mtbr.com mountain bike swag store: http://www.cafepress.com/mtbr

I do think it's about time we come up with a new T-Shirt design and make them available to everyone again, though. It's been a long, long time.

    John,

The t-shirt ideal wold be great, I would be in for one depending on the sizes.

I seen that you mentioned CafeExpress, you can also check out Zazzle. Klipsch just used them for their t-shirt sales and it looks like it gives you good options.

Anyone have a picture of the pr t-shirt that was done before? I'm excited to know what kind of design the new shirt may have.
