    Definitions and examples .....

On my computer, a pop-up displays whenever my cursor crosses a double underscored word (like camera, photo, etc.). It is driving me crazy ! :mad2:

I like the idea that I can find instant info by clicking on the word, but to have it automatically display just because I was careless and my cursor crossed the word is a bit much.

Does anyone else have this problem ? Is there something that I can turn off to stop this ?

    Please help if you can.

    Thanks
    Dave

It doesn't bother me, and it helps pay the bills for the site. The only part that annoys me is when I run over one with my mouse, and it pops up and starts to play sound. If it wasn't for the sound, I wouldn't notice them much. I have learned to live with them, and if PJ can make some $ from them to keep the site running, then I'm ok with them. I have even clicked on them just to help bring the site some more $.

There have been more annoying adds on this site in the past so these aren't so bad.

Yeah, they ocassionally annoy me, too. But they pay well and we need the money. Plus, they aren't that big of a deal. We've had ads that hijack the page before. These are nothing compared to those. Yesterday one got me that had streaming video with sound in it. I actually thhought that one was kinda cool.

Thanks for understanding and supporting the site. It is a business and it does need to make money to continue.

So does the site get $$ if we click a link from here to say B&H, then purchase something from the site? I'm getting a list of stuff ready to order & I'll keep doing that route if thats the case.

If you use the dealer links in the reviews to shop, we do get paid. So yes, please use them. Unfortunately, if someone posts a link in a forum for a camera on B&H, we don't get paid for that. I think it's possible for us to change it so we do. But it's something we haven't really explored.
