Can't edit posts

My flickr links in my "dogs" threads in View Finder got changed (by me) and so they no longer show the images. Went in to update the links and found that I cannot edit my own posts. There is no "edit post" tab - as if the server doesn't recognize me.

Tried it from both Firefox and I.E.

Am I missing something?

I'm not sure. I just checked permissions and you should be able to edit your posts. I made a test post with my robotpj moderator account and I could see the edit button below and to the right of my post. I am going to let it sit for a while and then go back to see if it's still there. It's possible there's a time limit on editing. I have a vague memory of that. If so, it's to keep users accountable in case of some sort of conflict. Right now I'm not sure. Have you tried logging out and back in? I don't think it would make any difference but it's worth a try.

Here is the screen shot that I'm getting. No Edit Post tab.

Oddly, I checked in every other forum I typically post in (Canon, Help, Digital SLR, etc.) and I get the same thing - no Edit Post. I do get the Edit Post tab in N&W of course but only in that forum.

So I don't know how long this has been the case with the other forums.

I did close and open internet browsers and even rebooted my main computer. I even tried on a second computer and got the same results.

I do get the Edit post tab on a post I made tonight (first screen shot).

Unfortunately, the last post before this one was made on 4/22 and I don't get any edit tabs (second screen shot) so perhaps you're right about the time limit.

I've never run into this before (I don't edit much) but it seems I had greater access before.

I believe that there is 24 hr limit. - Terry

I believe Terry is right. I couldn't remember for sure and I couldn't find any settings to indicate that there was a time limit. But from your experience it sounds like there is. I am happy to edit the post for you if you want. Beyond that, there's not much I can do.
