Can we have a new forum?- other camera manufacturers

I was wondering if you guys could add a subforum for other camera manufacturers to the Camera Manufacturer Forums.

I have a Fuji film camera that I'm happy with, so I'm thinking if/when I get another camera it might be Fuji, but I'd need to check out their reputation more, see if any of their cameras have major problems and stuff like that.

Also I was thinking I'd ask some questions about manufacturers in general, which ones put out the good stuff and which ones put out crap. So I guess the forum should be for other/multiple manufacturers rather than just "other".

I was thinking I could ask about that in the general digital forum, but I really want to know the manufacturer's reps for both digital and film. Or if any one puts out cameras that do both at once.

BTW, what's a "K-Mount" camera, and what's a "Four Thirds System" camera?

K-mount is the name for Pentax-compatible lenses used by a variety of manufacturers. It has the most compatability of any bayonet lens mount out there.

Four-Thirds system is a new sensor format that is even smaller than the current APS format everyone else uses in their DSLRs. Olympus uses it 100% and a few others have gotten into it.

I was wondering why there wasn't a "camera systems" forum, with sub-forums for the different brands.

My problem is if I post in a forum I don't usually post in, I forget about and never go back to the thread.


for example....I will forget that I posted here, and find it months down the road...
