Camera and setup stats box under avatar.

In another forum board I am signed up on, there is a drop down box under the avatar that shows the users computer specs.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to do the same, as it would help cut down on some of the signature space used in the boards.

The forum that this is used on is http://forums.techpowerup.com/

I think it would reduce a bit of clutter in peoples signatures, and keep the important stuff in the posts.

    Thanks for considering!

Personally I don't want to see what's in people's bags in every post.
That is just one thing you can use the profile is for (additional information) and it's only a click away.

it doesnt show it straight off the bat, you have to press "View Equipment" ect, before it will pop up in another menu.

I would like to make that information more accessible and have some ideas for doing so. I think adding it to the avatar box would slow down the forum load times, though. What I want to do is give the profile pages a full overhaul. I'd like them to be like real portfolio pages, with thumbnails of your latest photos, photos of your gear from reviews you've posted, and maybe even a blog. Don't know how soon this might happen. Got a lot of projects in the works right now. But I like your idea and think we're basically on the same page.

I dont know if you use Deviant Art, but it has something similar to what you are describing. I find that to be a well designed website, but it doesnt give me the critique or 1 on 1 help that I recieve here.

A profile that works like a whole portfolio would be great! I wish there was a link in our profile or settings that linked us to our gallery though. Maybe there is one, and I just havnt seen it.
