Bad Pop Up...

I had this pop up today when I went to pg 2 of the 'What if you lost your digital images?' thread. Anyone else seen it? I'll be checking out my PC. - TF

I saw it but then it was gone and I wasn't even sure where I was when I saw it.

We don't run any pop-up or pop-under ads. Not on purpose, anyway. You should scan your computer to make sure that it's not something already installed illicitly. And I'll check with the other Consumer Review site managers to see if anyone else is getting reports of this pop-up. Thanks for including the screenshot. That's a big help when stuff like this happens.

I saw it too. Only once, then reloaded the page and it's gone. Seems like a script to me. It wasn't a pop up, nothing moved out of the current window.

I don't think anyone's computer was compromised. It was a script placed in that thread by a spammer. That post has been deleted and that account and IP have been banned. But please let me know if you see this happening again. This is the first time I've seen it. But it's a sly form of spam and I won't be surprised to see it start showing up more often.
